During Your Stay

Where to stay
Getting Around
Exploring the Island

We recommend staying anywhere from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (the capital) to Agaete.
You’ll find plenty of options to suit your budget—apartments, hostels, Airbnbs, and hotels.

Note: If you’re traveling solo or as a couple, check out this studio apartment in the capital from a friend of mine SG Boho Chic Dream Nomad Studio.

The best way to explore the island is by car. We usually rent it at the airport from Autoreisen or Cicar.

In the capital, most attractions, restaurants, and beaches are within walking distance. You can also rent a city bike or hop on local buses for convenience.

Buses are an option for getting around the island, but depending on where you’re headed, it can be a bit tricky and time-consuming.

Be aware that as of 2025 the visits to Roque Nublo are restricted. Check all the relevant information before you plan your trip on their official website.
